On other routes a checked bag may be up to 300 cm in total and 32 kg (70 lb), within the fare’s weight allowance.
Carry-on and what comes with it
Besides the carry-on, Qatar Airways lets you bring one small purse or small briefcase, a coat or jacket, an umbrella, a small camera case, reading material and duty-free bought on the day of your flight. A laptop should fit in the carry-on, and a laptop bag carried separately counts as carry-on baggage.
Economy customers flying to or from Brazil can carry one piece of up to 10 kg (22 lb).
Checked allowance by fare
- Economy Lite: 1 carry-on piece up to 7 kg; 20 kg of checked bags on routes other than Africa and the Americas.
- Economy Classic: 1 carry-on piece up to 7 kg; 25 kg of checked bags on routes other than Africa and the Americas.
- Economy Convenience: 1 carry-on piece up to 7 kg; 30 kg of checked bags on routes other than Africa and the Americas.
- Economy Comfort: 1 carry-on piece up to 7 kg; 35 kg of checked bags on routes other than Africa and the Americas.
To and from Africa or the Americas the allowance is a number of pieces, set by the fare, and each piece may weigh up to 23 kg and measure up to 158 cm. On all other routes it’s a total weight, in as many pieces as you like, each up to 300 cm. Qatar Airways says exceptions apply on certain routes, and your booking shows your own allowance.
Limits on every route
No single checked piece may weigh more than 32 kg (70 lb). A bag over the maximum size may go as cargo. Boxes are accepted when carefully wrapped and sealed; round or irregular bags, and bags tied with loose rope or string or wrapped in blankets, are not.
