On most other routes a checked bag may be up to 203 cm (79.92 in) in total and 32 kg, within the fare’s total weight.
Carry-on by class and route
Premium Economy allows 10 kg, on the same 55 by 38 by 22 cm. Every flight from Brazil allows 10 kg of cabin baggage. Boarding in India, Economy and Premium Economy passengers bring one carry-on of up to 115 cm in length + width + height.
All cabin baggage goes under the seat in front of you or in an overhead locker, never behind your legs, in the aisle or by an emergency exit.
Weight concept: most routes
On most routes the allowance is the total weight of your bags, as many bags as you like up to it, and no single bag over 32 kg or 203 cm in total. In Economy, by fare:
- Economy Special: 1 carry-on of 7 kg; 20 kg of checked bags on weight concept routes.
- Economy Saver: 1 carry-on of 7 kg; 25 kg of checked bags on weight concept routes (30 kg on some journeys from Australia and New Zealand).
- Economy Flex: 1 carry-on of 7 kg; 30 kg of checked bags on weight concept routes.
- Economy Flex Plus: 1 carry-on of 7 kg; 35 kg of checked bags on weight concept routes.
Piece concept: the Americas and Africa
To and from the Americas and from Africa, the allowance is a number of pieces, each up to 23 kg in Economy. Special fares get one piece and Saver, Flex and Flex Plus two, except within the Americas and between the US and Europe, where Special and Saver get one. Each piece may measure up to 150 cm (59 in); from 150 to 203 cm it pays an oversize fee, and over 203 cm it goes as cargo.
