Priority & 2 Cabin Bags
Priority & 2 Cabin Bags is the cabin bag option Ryanair’s bag policy lists on top of the fare. It lets you carry the small bag under the seat and a 10 kg bag of 55 x 40 x 20 cm in the overhead locker, and you board first through the Priority Boarding queue.
Ryanair’s other bag options are check-in bags, dropped at the airport check-in desk before security and carried in the hold.
The gate sizers
Ryanair checks bags in sizers at the boarding gate. A small bag or 10 kg bag that doesn’t fit is refused there, or, where that’s possible, put in the aircraft hold for a fee set in Ryanair’s regulations. You leave it at the aircraft steps, in the gate bag trolley or where the agents say.
Measure the bag with its pockets full and its wheels and handles on before you leave home.
Check-in bags
Ryanair sells a 10 kg check-in bag, a 20 kg bag (up to three on a booking) and a 23 kg bag (one on a booking). It gives a maximum size only for the 20 kg bag.
An infant on an adult’s lap has no cabin bag allowance, but may bring a baby bag of up to 5 kg and 45 x 35 x 20 cm, and two items of baby equipment free.
