Every side has to fit
Allegiant checks each side of a bag against its own limit, so a bag can be turned away for one long side even when its three sides add up to less than the limit’s. Allegiant measures wheels, pockets, handles and decorations, and may check the size before boarding. Every carry-on and personal item has to fit completely under a seat or in the overhead bin.
A big purse can become a carry-on
A personal item that doesn’t fit completely under the seat can be charged as a carry-on. An oversized personal item or an extra carry-on costs more at the airport than added ahead. Gate-checked bags come back at baggage claim, not the jet bridge.

Checked bags: 80 linear inches
Allegiant’s checked bag can be 80 in (203 cm) in total and 50 lb (22 kg). Most US airlines here stop at 62 inches. Allegiant won’t take a bag over 99 lb. You can reserve up to four checked bags per person online and bring five in all.
Bundles and free items
An Allegiant bundle can only be bought when you book, and you can’t change it once the trip is booked. Baggage fees don’t apply to car seats, strollers, mobility aids and assistive devices, and gate-checking a stroller is free. Those items are the exception to the rule that gate-checked bags come back at baggage claim.
